Free Eye Check-Up Camp Organized by Iris Super Speciality Eye Hospital at Shama Library, Khirgaon

Hazaribagh: On Saturday, February 8, a free eye check-up camp was organized at Shama Library, Khirgaon, located near the dumping ground area. This initiative was conducted by Iris Super Speciality Eye Hospital, Ramgarh in collaboration with Shama Library Welfare & Educational Trust.

The primary aim of the camp was to provide essential eye care services to economically weaker and underprivileged sections of society, enabling them to maintain healthy vision and move towards a brighter future.

Specialist doctors, equipped with modern diagnostic tools, conducted detailed eye examinations during the camp. Free medicines were distributed to those in need, and for serious cases, treatment at Iris Super Speciality Eye Hospital, Ramgarh was offered at discounted rates.

Mr. Mohammad Mustakeem, popularly known as Mandul and the Secretary of Shama Library Welfare & Educational Trust, emphasized the importance of such initiatives for the community. He urged local residents to participate in large numbers and take advantage of the free services.

Eye problems are often neglected, but without timely diagnosis and treatment, they can lead to severe vision issues. This is especially true for rural and economically challenged communities who cannot afford regular check-ups. The camp’s core mission was to offer free eye examinations and treatment, preventing avoidable vision problems.
